Frequently Asked Questions

How did we meet?

We met through online dating, like nearly two-thirds of couples do now.

From Krista Beth: I was showing my brother, Josh, to keep at it (online dating) despite discouragement; but also some common mistakes I was seeing across profiles. I was presenting how women want to imagine themselves laughing and having fun with the people they’re interacting with, so all these stoic guys were missing that element. I was planning on leaving Oklahoma to visit friends across the country while continuing gig work, so I had let my own profile expire. I reactivated my account in the process to find some examples for Josh, and went ahead and responded to a message from Ryan. We got to chatting, and I thought, ‘I’ll give this one last guy my number, and then I’m deactivating this again.’ We hit it off and went on our first date. So now Josh takes credit for introducing us.

Who proposed and how?

Ryan proposed. He arranged an enormous surprise at the restaurant where we had our first date, Doc’s. Nearly everyone at the restaurant was in on it; our friends, the staff, the owner ___, and many of the guests including the owner’s mom, who took our picture too.

I RSVPed by mail, so do I need to fill out the form on the website too?

No, but it would certainly be appreciated, as it save us some time.

I RSVPed through the form on the website, so do I need to mail-in my RSVP card too?

No, but we appreciate your due diligence.

The reception starts at 6:30 with cocktail hour, but the wedding party doesn’t arrive till 7:30. What should I expect to do for that hour?

While we get some final photos, you’ll have some options. First you’ll want to find parking and orient yourself to the area around Tulsa Club Hotel and our space in the Sky Terrace. We’ll have a guestbook, a video guestbook, and a photographer already there for you. Enjoy the sunset view on the surrounding balcony. There will be snacks and beverages available. This is also the time to find your table. We understand that an hour is a long time, so you can also feel free to explore the downtown area around Tulsa Club Hotel should you find yourself with time to spare.
